The LMH Foreign Film Club presents a screening of Brazilian film The Buriti Flower (Crowrã), followed by an online Q&A with the film's directors Renée Nader Messora and João Salaviza.
"Through her child's eyes, Patpro will go through three periods of the history of her indigenous people, in the heart of the Brazilian forest."
Blending ethnography and poetic storytelling, The Buriti Flower (Crowrã) offers a compelling window into the memories of Brazil's Krahô people. Rooted in their cultural traditions, political resistance, and bond with the land, the film reflects an ongoing and urgent fight to safeguard entire ecosystems from destruction and loss.
The screening is part of Brazil Week, organised by the Portuguese subfaculty with the support of the LMH Foreign Film Club.
