The Development Office deals with graduation. Candidates may graduate either in person or in absentia. You may graduate in absentia at any graduation ceremony throughout the year, but the spaces allocated for LMH graduands to attend in person are limited to certain dates and times. It is therefore advisable to book your place as early as possible.
*Please do not book any travel or accommodation until you have had your degree date fully confirmed on student self service or by the Gradations team*
On finishing Finals, students do not automatically graduate and receive a certificate. They must book a place at one of the ceremonies offered to them by the central University. Only once a student graduates can he or she receive a certificate. If you do not graduate in the year after finishing your degree, you then become a ‘historic’ graduand, and if you want to graduate at a later date you will be put on a waiting list behind current students (who take priority). Contact the Development Office for more information about historic graduation.
The Graduation and leaving Oxford website is an excellent resource for all information about ceremonies and certificates.
