DPhil in Education

Previously: University College, London; LMH (MSc E-Learning)

I am reading for a DPhil in Education and my thesis is researching the use of digital technology in schools. My research has led to many exciting experiences so far, including presenting at an international conference in New Orleans, which the College very generously financially supported. I took on the role of joint MCR President, as I wanted to give back to the College which has been such an incredible source of support, friendship, and fun since arriving. Our committee made some substantial contributions aiming to improve College life of all our students, including: redecorating and kitting out the MCR, increasing the welfare support for graduates, and working with the JCR and College to improve the gym facilities. In Trinity term I competed in croquet cuppers with three fellow graduate students, reaching the dizzying heights of the 4th round but was rather less successful rowing for M2 in summer eights where we were bumped everyday! Outside of College I have really enjoyed being involved in student radio, co-hosting a weekly student agony show called PS I Love You, which many MCR members have featured on as special guests, and I completed my rather exhausting term as station manager. Lady Margaret Hall has played a pivotal role in my incredible university experience and I am exceptionally grateful for this.
