Departmental Lecturer in Buddhism and the Study of Religion, Tutor in Theology (Buddhism)
Biography
I obtained a BA in Philosophy and an MA in Religious Studies from the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary. I completed my DPhil course at the Faculty of Theology and Religion, University of Oxford, where I am currently a Departmental Lecturer in Buddhism.
Research interests
My research focuses on Buddhist Philosophy, especially the Abhidharma and Yogācāra traditions, including their complex relationship. I am also interested in the role the Yogācāra commentarial literature played in shaping the school's identity, as well as the (dis)similarities between the doctrines of the Yogācāra and other classical philosophical traditions of ancient India.
Teaching
I mainly teach lectures and tutorials in Buddhism (including Indian Buddhist Philosophy, Buddhism I and II, Religion and Religions).
