About Tom Littler
Tom is Artistic Director and Joint Chief Executive of the Orange Tree Theatre, where since 2022 he has directed a string of acclaimed, record-breaking productions, including She Stoops to Conquer, Twelfth Night, Churchill in Moscow and Creditors. Previously, he led Jermyn Street Theatre as Artistic Director and Executive Producer, winning the OffWestEnd Award for Best Artistic Director and guiding the theatre to multiple major awards for its work during lockdown. During his career, Tom has directed more than seventy productions and received ten OffWestEnd Award nominations for Best Director.
Tom has collaborated with leading contemporary writers and actors, staged Shakespeare across the UK and Europe, and pioneered innovative theatre-on-screen projects. He trained under directors including Peter Hall, Peter Gill and Trevor Nunn. As well as his undergraduate degree from Oxford, Tom has postgraduate degrees from the Open University and the University of Cambridge, where he subsequently taught eighteenth-century literature.
