The LMH Chamber Choir is a non-auditioned choir, established to expand the choral opportunities in LMH beyond the Evensong setting.
The choir, run entirely by the organ scholars, covers a wide range of exciting repertoire aspiring to perform high standard works that are often not accessible to small auditioned choral groups.
New members from any college are welcome to join at the start of each term. The choir typically rehearses once per week for 1-2 hours. If you are interested in joining the LMH Chamber Choir, please contact the organ scholars.
Recently, performances have included Mozart’s Requiem, Haydn’s Nelson Mass, and Handel’s Messiah as well as individual works ranging from Lotti’s Cruxifiction to Parry’s Songs of Farewell. The concerts and services performed by the choir are some of the most well attended and popular musical events in college, and offer a unique opportunity in Oxford for students with any musical background.
