Biography

I studied for a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree at the University of Bonn and completed Part III of the Mathematical Tripos at the University of Cambridge. In October 2022, I began my DPhil in Mathematics at the Mathematical Institute in Oxford.

I have had research visits at the Max Planck Institute and Hausdorff Research Institute for Mathematics in Bonn, as well as the University of Münster.

Research interests

My research interests lie within algebra, more specifically in algebraic number theory and model theory. Under the supervision of Professor Jochen Koenigsmann, I am writing my thesis on infinitely ramified valued fields from the point of view of mathematical logic and Galois theory.

Teaching

At Lady Margaret Hall, I teach first- and second-year undergraduate algebra courses, including linear algebra, group theory, and number theory.

At the Mathematical Institute, I have previously taught courses in the foundations of mathematics (logic, model theory, set theory). I have also taught at several other Oxford colleges (Balliol, Merton, Exeter) and at the University of Bonn.
