LMH Development Events: Terms and Conditions

Please read the following terms and conditions, which apply to events organised by LMH's Development Team.

Cancellation by the Event Registrant

If you have to cancel your event or accommodation booking, please send your request in writing to development@lmh.ox.ac.uk or contact us on 01865 274188. A full refund will be given, on request, for cancellations received five working days or more before the start of the event (i.e., for a Friday evening event, your cancellation should be received no later than by 17:00 the previous Friday). After this time, due to costs and time incurred, no refunds can be offered.

Cancellations by LMH

LMH reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrolment, or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable to deliver. Such a decision will be made at least 10 working days in advance of the event. If the event is cancelled by the College, a full refund will be given.

Outdoor events will only be cancelled due to inclement weather if they are such that the event cannot proceed safely. Such a decision will be made and communicated at least 8 working hours before the start of the event.

In the event of cancellation, LMH will use reasonable endeavours to alert those who have registered to attend. Details will be posted online at: https://www.lmh.ox.ac.uk/alumni/events and an email will be sent to registrants to the email address used for registration. Attendees are encouraged to check this information prior to the event.

In the event that LMH cancels an event, the College cannot accept responsibility for covering travel, hotel, or other costs incurred by guests or participants.

Guests

Guests of alumni are warmly welcomed to attend many LMH events. In some cases, due to capacity, it will not always be possible for guests to attend, but this will be communicated in the event booking information. Children are also welcome to attend some College events, such as our Alumni Garden Party. Babes in arms are welcome to dinners, but we regret that other under-18s cannot be accommodated at formal meals with allocated seating unless explicitly stated in the event information. If it is unclear whether an event will be suitable for children, please contact the Development Office to confirm before booking.

Special Event Requirements

Event attendees are responsible for informing the LMH Development Office of any special dietary or mobility requirements prior to the event. This information must be received by the booking deadline stated on the registration materials. LMH will take all reasonable measures in order to meet these requirements.

Behaviour

Alumni and guests attending College events are expected to treat all attendees and staff with courtesy and respect. Responsible consumption of alcohol is permitted at events where it is served. The misuse of alcohol or any illicit substances is strictly prohibited. The College reserves the right to remove individuals who do not adhere to responsible conduct.

If you have any questions, please contact us at development@lmh.ox.ac.uk.
