Alumni made a gift

A lady in a blue top smiles while chatting with guests at a formal LMH event in a wood-panelled dining hall. Around her, alumni, supporters and students are seated at tables in conversation, while student servers carry bottles of wine through the room. The atmosphere is warm, lively and sociable.

Celebrating your impact

Philanthropic income has always been vital to LMH – not only to support our core operations, but also to enable development and improvement.

We take great pride in ensuring our donors can see the impact of giving on our community and feel closely linked to the College and those they support.

How we thank our donors

Philanthropy Report & Donor Roll

Each year, we share our Philanthropy Report with our donors, in print or online, highlighting the impact of donations across the College.

We are delighted to celebrate all donors to the College by recognising them in our annual Donor Roll.

Donor Circles

The transformative impact of major gifts to LMH is celebrated with our Donor Circles.

Wordsworth Circle

The Circle recognises those who have made cumulative gifts between £25,000 and £50,000. In addition to the above, members are invited to the Principal’s Summer Lunch (invitation-only donor event).

With permission, we list all donors in the annual roll of benefactors and members of the Wordsworth, Talbot and Principal’s Circles on the Donor Board situated in College.

Principal’s Campaign Board

The Principal's Campaign Board will drive the most significant transformation of the College since its foundation, securing financial freedom and a lasting legacy for generations to come.

Members

Donors who contribute at least £250,000 to the campaign will be invited to become a Member of the Principal’s Campaign Board.

Members of this honorary group will be invited to special campaign and anniversary events. Their support will be recognised in our annual donor roll, on our campaign website, and on a commemorative plaque in College.

Members will also be nominated for membership of the University’s Vice Chancellor’s Circle.

Vice-Chairs

Donors who contribute £1,000,000 or more to the campaign will be invited to become Vice-Chairs of the Principal’s Campaign Board, an honorary role recognising philanthropic leadership.

Vice-Chairs will be invited to special campaign and anniversary events. Their support will be recognised in our annual donor roll, on our campaign website, and on a commemorative plaque in College.

Vice-Chairs will also be nominated for permanent Foundation Fellowship of the College and for membership of the University’s Vice Chancellor’s Guild.

Naming Opportunities

As part of our milestone 150th anniversary celebrations, a limited number of naming opportunities are now available at LMH.

Naming a room, space, fellowship or job role is a meaningful way to celebrate your connection to LMH and support the future of the College. Each named space becomes part of the living fabric of the College, and funds raised will go directly towards our campaign.
