Dead Poets Slam

Location
Simpkins Lee Theatre, Lady Margaret Hall
Start date
End date

Organised and emceed by Oxford Professor of Poetry, A.E. Stallings, the Dead Poet Slam is an opportunity to recite or perform a favourite poem by a Dead Poet. All people and languages are welcome.

If you would like to recite a poem (there is a 6-minute limit per slot, unless arranged with emcee beforehand), please sign up using the form below. Memorisation is greatly encouraged, but not strictly mandatory (it is OK to have a spotter with the text in case you get stuck!). The room has a piano, and song settings of poems by a Dead Poet are also welcome.

Add an asterisk to your name on the sign up sheet if you are interested in competing in an actual "slam" - and have another poem up your sleeve for a face off. A reception will follow afterwards.
