Mr Žarko Bulić

I am currently a second year PhD student in the probability group supervised by Alison Etheridge and Maria Bruna. Before starting my PhD, I completed Part III of the Mathematical Tripos at the University of Cambridge and the second year of the Probability and Random models masters in Paris (Sorbonne / ENS). Prior to that, I completed my undergraduate studies in mathematics and economics at École Polytechnique.

My DPhil research lies on the intersection of information theory, statistics, and statistical physics. I mostly work on problems related to statistical inference in large interacting systems. I am also interested in understanding the role of information theory in the study of phase transitions.

At LMH, I teach Prelims Probability, Part A Integration and Part A Graph Theory.

At the Mathematical institute and the Deparment of Statistics, I teach Part B Applied probability and Part C / OMMS Probability on Graphs and Lattices.
