On a sunny Saturday in late June, we welcomed over 200 people – alumni and their friends and families – back to LMH for our biggest ever Alumni Garden Party.

Guests spread out around the College grounds, enjoying food and drink and a varied range of activities.

A highlight of the event was an academic talk by Career Development Fellow in English Dr Ben Higgins, on ‘The First Folio in 2023: Four Hundred Years of the Book that Made Shakespeare’. Dr Higgins was recently shortlisted for the Shakespeare’s Globe Book Award for his book: Shakespeare’s Syndicate: The First Folio, its Publishers, and the Early Modern Book Trade.

There was plenty on offer for families, and children and adults alike enjoyed joining in with a storytelling session in the shade of the trees after a busy afternoon of face painting, space-hopper bouncing and garden games.

Guests made the most of the sunshine, enjoying afternoon tea on the Fellows’ Lawn while mingling and listening to a short update on life at LMH from the Principal. We're already looking forward to welcoming alumni back for next year's event!
