What do you enjoy the most about LMH?

I love it when it’s a sunny day and you don’t need to check find my because you already know everyone is in the garden. My favourite thing is spending time in the garden.

What has studying at Oxford been like so far?

Each day studying at Oxford I am aware of what an amazing privilege it is to study here. There are sometimes moments where the work can be a bit demanding but most often it is really fun to get to read about a range of topics. If you organise your time well, it can be a really nice balance of work and other kinds of fun activities.

What do you enjoy most about your course?

I study mostly modern history so probably the fact that the course is very flexible. In my final year, I am primarily studying British political history because I am particularly interested in this, so I am very grateful for the for the flexibility that Oxford history offers.

What’s your best advice for a prospective applicant?

Read about what you find interesting in the summer before you apply (for me this involved doing lots of reading for my EPQ). I used these books to show that I was genuinely interested in history, but it also helps to prepare you to read intellectual books that you will have to do for your degree.
