What do you enjoy the most about LMH?

It is such a vibrant and close-knit community where everyone supports each other in reaching their goals, however different they might be. Alongside this, having such an amazing legacy of empowered and inspiring women to look towards as role models and examples of those gone before us in such a community curates such a special college culture.

What has studying at Oxford been like so far?

Studying at Oxford definitely has had its highs and its lows, but it is an absolutely phenomenal university experience that I think is unmatched. Coming towards the end of my degree has made me reflect on how much my thinking has changed and shaped throughout my time at Oxford, and I am truly grateful for the ways I have been challenged and supported to excel in my academic career in ways I could never have conceived, let alone imagined!

What do you enjoy most about your course?

I enjoy being able to mould the course around my interests and pick and choose the bits I am most fascinated by and passionate to learn about. I have found a love for exploring women in recent popular music which is something I never thought would be a path I would be able to pursue in an Oxford music degree—it isn’t all just Mozart and Beethoven, your degree is truly what you make of it.

What’s your best advice for a prospective applicant?

Be yourself and be confident. Don’t try and fit into yours or others conceptions about what an Oxford student should be. The best thing you can bring to your degree, college and this university is yourself and your uniqueness!
