The first Principal of Lady Margaret Hall, Elizabeth Wordsworth (1840-1932) wrote numerous plays and enjoyed watching them being performed in the grounds of the College. In 1892, students performed her play ‘The Apple of Discord’. In this photograph of the cast, Miss Wordsworth is seated second from right on the second row from the front.
