Dr Silvia Butti

I am a Senior Research Associate at the Department of Computer Science and a Non-Stipendiary Junior Research Fellow at Lady Margaret Hall.

I obtained my PhD in Theoretical Computer Science at UPF (Barcelona). Previously, I did an MSc in Mathematics and Foundations of Computer Science at Oxford, and a BSc in Mathematics at UCL.

My research interests lie at the intersection between mathematics and computer science, with a particular focus on the computational complexity of constraint satisfaction problems. I have also worked on graph sparsification and on approximation of optimisation problems.
