LMH students Amber Wilkins (2020, MBiochem), George Close-Smith (2021, BA History) and Matt Cook (MSt History) were selected to represent LMH and the University of Oxford in the Varsity Matches at the StoneX Stadium in North London on Saturday 2 March.

First played in 1872, the Varsity Match is one of the world’s longest running sporting fixtures. It represents the pinnacle of amateur and student rugby, where two of the most prestigious universities in the world compete for the title of Varsity holders.

Unfortunately, it wasn't to be Oxford's day, with the Oxford Women's team losing 5-10 to Cambridge in a hard-fought contest and the Men's team beaten 11-56 as Cambridge put in a dominant performance to record the biggest win in Varsity Match history.
