Michael Gove, a former journalist, was the former Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (2017 to 2019). He was elected Conservative MP for Surrey Heath in 2005. Michael Gove has also been Shadow Minister for Housing (2005 to 2007), Shadow Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families (2007 to 2010), Secretary of State for Education (2010 to 2014), Government Chief Whip and Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury (2014-2015), and Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice (2015 to 2016).
Dominic Raab was elected Conservative MP for Esher and Walton in May 2010. He was previously Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union (July - November 2018). He was also Minister of State for Housing at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (January 2018 to 9 July 2018), Minister of State at the Ministry of Justice (2017 - 2018) and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Minister for Human Rights) at the Ministry of Justice (2015 -2016).
