Progression from the Foundation Year
The Foundation Year is intended to help students to progress to taking an undergraduate degree at the University of Oxford and Lady Margaret Hall. However, it is important to note than an offer of a place on the Foundation Year does not give them an automatic entry to a degree at the University of Oxford. During their first term on the Foundation Year students will be expected to make an application through UCAS to the University of Oxford. This application should also include other choices of university to make sure that they have a reserve offer in case your application to Oxford is unsuccessful.
The procedure for Oxford University Admissions is that all subjects require Admission Interviews, and some subjects require Admissions Tests. During the first term of the Foundation Year, interview preparation sessions and tuition for admissions tests will be provided. If a student is successful at the interview stage, they will be given a conditional offer of a place, and the condition will normally be that they should successfully complete the Foundation Year.
