
Manny Botwe is in his seventh year as Headteacher at Tytherington School in Macclesfield. Prior to this, he served as a Deputy Headteacher in South Oxfordshire. Before teaching, he worked at Lady Margaret Hall as a Schools' Outreach Officer.
He was born and raised in South London and was the first member of his family to go to university where he achieved a First-Class degree in PPE at Oxford. He has a genuine belief that fantastic schools have the power to transform people’s lives and their circumstances. He is a passionate advocate of the view that all youngsters, irrespective of their background, should have the opportunity to enjoy a rich and broad education.
Manny is also an elected member of the Association School of School and College Leaders (ASCL) National Council representing the North West and is the Chair of the Leadership and Governance Committee.
