About the author
Holly Kyte is an author of women’s social history, specialising in the forgotten stories and neglected aspects of women’s lives – particularly those who flouted social and gender conventions. She read Classics and English at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford (2000–2004), and has since worked as a journalist and non-fiction/fiction editor. She has written for various newspapers, websites and magazines, and for many years was a literary critic for the Sunday Telegraph and the TLS. Her first book, Roaring Girls: The Forgotten Feminists of British History, was published by HQ in November 2019. It was Editor’s Choice in The Bookseller and has received four- and five-star reviews across the board.
