Reflections post-WEF fellowship

The academic visiting fellowship was an incredible experience for me. The Global Dialogues & Women’s Empowerment in Eurasian Contexts Feminist Mentoring (WEF) Programme, which is funded by OSF, is a unique opportunity for feminist and gender studies researchers from the Eurasia region. IGS at LMH is one of the best places to do research as Oxford University has exceptional academic resources. I believe that the WEF Programme was organized very thoughtfully, and I have enriched my academic and research experiences. IGS mentorship and academic resources were outstanding, and I always found support. In addition, I have broadened my academic network and I hope that I will continue to work with them.

IGS has taught me how to be a feminist in both an academic and activist sense. I have learnt how to use feminist research methods and how to use my own voice as a feminist in research papers and in the community.

I would like to invite IGS members to collaborate with Kyrgyzstan academics. I hope we will develop collaboration with EFAP project. Thank you very much to everyone who made this fellowship possible! It was such a great and unique opportunity for me, and I learnt a lot and enjoyed it! It was a celebration of academy and feminism at the same time.
