You will receive notification of whether you have been shortlisted for interview at least one week before you are due to come to Oxford. The timetable for attendance at interviews will be published by the University nearer the time, but you will not know your specific interview slots until you arrive. It is important to keep the dates of your potential interviews free. If you have any particular needs for interview (e.g. limited access, dietary etc), please let email@example.com know as soon as possible.
You will be provided with free accommodation and meals for the two or three days you spend here. Most people enjoy their stay and use it to get a taste of student life while they are here.
Although you apply for a particular college (or if your application is open you will be assigned to a particular college), you may also be interviewed at another college. The colleges work together to identify the best candidates across the University for each subject.
Potential students are normally given at least two interviews each of 20-30 minutes at LMH. Each is with a single tutor or small group of tutors. Most people get rather nervous about interviews, and we try to put you at ease. Interviews are not cross-examinations, but a way to investigate ability and potential.
You will get the opportunity to ask questions too, and to talk to our undergraduates. Some of them act as ‘runners’ and are available to help you get where you need to go, show you round and answer your questions about life at LMH. Some are Peer Supporters, who will be keen to help you if you have any issues or concerns.
