Congratulations to Professor Sanjay Manohar, who has been awarded a Leverhulme Research Project Grant of £102,941 for 'Predicting neural activity during working memory and attention'.

Dr Sanjay Manohar

'As an early career researcher, this grant will allow me to build my team and test computational models of working memory,' said Professor Manohar. 'Working memory is the ability to hold information in mind ready for use, over a few seconds. I am developing the idea of synapses as a rapid flexible storage medium that hold information silently which becomes manifest when an appropriate context occurs.'

Professor Manohar will spend the next two years testing these ideas in data already collected.
