Overview

IGS mentoring programmes, with their emphasis  on access to Oxford’s exceptional academic resources, have made a long-standing and invaluable contribution to international women academics’ often difficult pathway to leadership positions, enabling them to make a difference in their home communities.

Individual Mentoring

Research Associates supervise postgraduate and doctoral students as well as acting as assessors and external examiners.  IGS members  also teach for the Gender and Development option/core courses of the M.Phil. in Development Studies at Queen Elizabeth House (Oxford Department of International Development), the M.St. in Women's Studies and the Gender  in Archaeology and Anthropology option at ISCA.
