Welcome to the LMH Annual Fund 2011-12

Between March 11th and 25th a team of twelve student callers enjoyed contacting and speaking with a large number of LMH alumni. Thank you to all those who took part.  The students enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with alumni and to update them with current goings-on in College.

The telephone campaign, whilst also being very important for keeping alumni in touch with LMH, is a vital part of our Annual Fund programme.  We are delighted to report that, thanks to the support of so many, our campaign raised over £110,000.  This makes a very real difference to the College and its students.

The callers who worked on the 2012 Telephone Campaign

As a result of the support of nearly 1,000 Alumni and Friends last year, the Annual Fund is now established as a significant and vital component of LMH’s income. It has already contributed in excess of £430,000 to the College.

We need the Annual Fund to grow, to enable us to sustain current and future levels of expenditure on student support, academic resources, accommodation and facilities, and a broad range of activities. We anticipate an ever-growing need for hardship support among LMH students. We must be well-prepared for the introduction of the £9,000 fees in 2012 for Home/EU undergraduates and be able respond to help them and other undergraduate and postgraduate students as necessary.

A gift to the Annual Fund is one of the most important ways in which you can help us achieve our goals.

If we can increase Annual Fund giving to £400,000 each year, this is equivalent to an extra £10 million in our endowment.

This income will have a profound effect on our students and their LMH experience.
