LMH Music Scholars, 2015

LMH Chapel Choir offers Choral Awards in all four voice parts. Within each of the Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass sections, there is usually one Choral Scholar and at least one Deputy. Choral Scholars are essentially the leaders of their section. They receive an honorarium and are entitled to wear a scholars' gown. All award holders receive singing lessons with an experienced teacher in order to further develop their vocal technique. They regularly sing solos in services and  concerts, as well as performing chamber music together.

Award holders also meet all together once a week with the Organ Scholars and Director of Music so that they can put their own ideas forward and be involved in the organisation of the choir as a whole. The LMH Choral Award Scheme is ideal for those wishing to improve their singing in a lively, supportive environment. Would you be an enthusiastic and committed addition to the exclusive group of award holders? If you are interested in auditioning then look out for posters advertising the positions or come and see us at the LMH Freshers' Fair in 0th week. At the audition you will be required to sing one piece that you have prepared (accompanied by our Senior Organ Scholar) followed by some quick sight-reading tests and a brief chat.
