Mrs Mary Moore was Principal of St Hilda's College, Oxford from 1980 to 1990.

Before that she served in HM Diplomatic Service from 1951 to 1963, becoming 1st Secretary in 1961.  She was a trustee of the British Museum from 1982 and of the Rhodes Trust from 1983 and a member of the Council for Industry and the Council for Higher Education.

Mary Moore matriculated at LMH in 1948 and read history.  She was elected to an Honorary Fellowship in 1980.
