Mrs McNair Scott was the founding chairman of LMH's Advisory Council, the team of alumni advisors who work with the Principal, the Treasurer and the Development Director to guide and support the College's development programme. She served as chairman from 1996 until the end of 2002 and has since then continued to be an active member of the Council.
Mrs McNair Scott played a key role in LMH's first fundraising campaign, The Way Forward, launched in 1997. In 2000 and again in 2004 the College benefitted from her considerable organising and fundraising skills when she was part of a team that brought to LMH two gala evenings featuring the children from the Menuhin School, performing in 2000 with Fou T'Song and in 2004 with András Schiff.
Mrs McNair Scott matriculated at LMH in 1964 and read English. She was elected to a Foundation Fellowship in 2003.
