A signing ceremony took place on 15 February for two agreements between Santander and LMH and between LMH and the University of Alcalá in Spain. We are delighted to announce that Santander UK plc has generously agreed to fund scholarships for postgraduate students to study at LMH, financial support for a visiting fellow to LMH from the University of Alcalá, and a research grant fund for LMH students with a minimum of three awards. We celebrated this at a ceremony in the Old Library attended by the Vice Chancellors of the Universities of Oxford and Alcalá, Professor Andrew Hamilton and Professor Fernando Galván, Mr Luis Juste, the Santander Universities Director in the UK, the recipients of the Santander Graduate Scholarships and the Lady Margaret Hall/Santander Research Grants, Fellows of the College and distinguished Hispanists from the University of Oxford.
