At a ceremony at Convocation House on 10 November 42 Oxford University staff received awards in recognition of their excellent teaching. Congratulations to Dr Phil Biggin on winning his award.

Dr Biggin, a RCUK Fellow in Structural Biochemistry and College Lecturer at LMH, was recognised for his exceptional contribution to the delivery of teaching biochemistry and, in particular, the innovative use of new technologies in teaching and learning and the development of graduate-level courses in bioinformatics.

Dr Biggin said: 'It is a great honour to be recognised in this way and to receive this award. I hope I can continue to develop new ways of teaching in the future.'

The Oxford University Teaching Awards recognise different ways to engage students and help them learn.
