Professor Alison Brading’s death on 7th January saddened everyone at LMH.

Alison was an inspiring teacher who was appreciated and loved by generations of students. She had a remarkable career as a  research scientist. Alison was also an unfailingly generous and humane colleague, and exceptionally brave. She will be greatly missed.

The funeral will be held at LMH on Tuesday 25th January at 2.30pm.  A memorial event in celebration of Alison Brading’s life will be held at LMH on Saturday 4 June 2011, from 2pm to 5pm. For more information please email development@lmh.ox.ac.uk or telephone +44 (0)1865 274362.

The family has decided that anyone wishing to make donations in Alison’s memory may do so to the Alison Brading Bursary Fund established at LMH when Alison retired in 2005, after 37 years as a Tutorial Fellow.  Its purpose is to provide financial support for students in medicine and physiological sciences at the College.

Cheques, made payable to LMH Development Fund’ and marked Alison Brading Bursary Fund, should be sent to the Development Office, Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, OX2 6QA. Donations may also be made online.
