LMH alumna involved in Haiti earthquake response

Dr Lynne Jones OBE is senior technical advisor in mental health for the International Medical Corps.  With her expert knowledge in the field of providing psychological assistance to survivors of natural disasters she has travelled to Haiti to coordinate the provision of psychiatric services.

Lynne Jones studied for a BA in Human Sciences at LMH between 1970 and 1973, and was awarded an OBE in the 2001 New Year Honours List for psychology and mental health in conflict-affected areas of central Europe.

She is currently an honorary research associate in Developmental Psychiatry at Cambridge University, where she is studying the effects of political violence on children.
