Prof Viala wins Gapper Book Prize
Alain Viala, Fellow and Professor of French Literature at LMH, has won the R. H. Gapper Book Prize for his book La France galante. The prize is awarded for outstanding work in the field of French Studies.

The Birth of Classical Europe
Two members of LMH have completed a book for Penguin. Dr Simon Price, who retired in 2008 as Ancient History tutor, and Dr Peter Thonemann, who read Greats at LMH and is now Ancient History tutor at Wadham, have jointly written The Birth of Classical Europe: A History from Troy to Augustine.

LMH student finds early draft of the US Constitution
While conducting research into reports from the Constitutional Convention in 1787, Lorianne Updike Toler, MSt US History student at LMH, found an early draft of the Constitution written by James Wilson, which had been missing for decades.
