Transcripts
If you matriculated prior to Michaelmas Term 2007, you can order an official academic transcript or on-course transcript from the Senior Tutor’s Office. Please order your transcript in good time, as we require up to three weeks to process transcript requests! To help with urgent requests, we are now beginning to offer a three working day ‘expedited’ transcript service at a cost of £15 per copy.
To order a transcript, please complete an order form and send it to:
Senior Tutor’s Administrator
Lady Margaret Hall
Norham Gardens
Oxford OX2 6QA
United Kingdom
You can also send your order form to us by email or by fax to +44 (0) 1865 274 294. However, if you need to send your form by email or fax but also want to give us your payment details (for an expedited request or when sending your transcript abroad), we recommend that you provide this information separately over the phone to +44 (0) 1865 274 321 in order to guarantee its security.
Please note that LMH will only accept applications for transcripts directly from our students and alumni and not from third parties. For third party verification requests, please see the Oxford University Degree Conferrals Office for further information.
Sending Transcripts Abroad
If you urgently need to have your transcript sent abroad, DHL is LMH’s courier of choice, with the current rates available on the company's website. Alternatively, the Royal Mail offers international Air Mail and a variety of more reliable expedited and signed-for services. Charges for international postage to destinations outside Europe, for DHL courier service, or for Royal Mail special services will need to be paid up front, and we will be in touch with you before shipping to communicate the details of how much this will cost. For speediest service, please make separate arrangements directly with your courier of choice, indicating that the documents should be collected from the LMH Porters’ Lodge.
Degree Confirmation Letters
If you passed your examinations but have not had your degree conferred at a degree ceremony, or if you have attended a ceremony but require proof of your award to present to a third party, you can request a Degree Confirmation letter free of charge. This statement is prepared on official LMH letterhead and will confirm that you have successfully completed your course at Oxford, the dates of attendance, and the classification you received. To order a Degree Confirmation letter, please complete our order form and forward it to the Senior Tutor’s Administrator.
Documentation required for Tier 1 Post Study Work visa applications
For information regarding the application requirements for Tier 1 Post Study Work visa or any other type of visa, please email the LMH Student Immigration Service. The College can help prepare Tier 1 letters for undergraduates, at no cost. If you are a postgraduate, the student immigration office has advised us that you will need to request your Tier 1 PSW letter from your department.
Transcripts
You will automatically receive a copy of your final transcript upon completing your degree. This will be sent to your ‘home address’ listed in your Student Self-Service account - please ensure these details are kept up to date! If you need a transcript for the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, please contact the Medical Sciences Office at enquiries@medsci.ox.ac.uk.
Postgraduate research students are not issued with a transcript but can be provided with a Degree Confirmation Letter as proof of award. If you are yet to complete your research degree, please contact your department for proof of study.
Ordering extra copies of final transcripts
You can order additional copies of your final transcript at a cost of £5 each. You can order and buy online by credit/debit card at the University Online Shop, or by post with payment by cheque by downloading the Postal Order Form from the University website. Applications for transcripts must be made by the student/former student themselves, as the Examination Schools will not accept requests from third parties. For third party verification requests, please see the Oxford University Degree Conferrals Office for further information.
If you are expecting examination results, please wait until you receive your results in Student Self Service before requesting extra copies of a final transcript. Requests placed before your results are released may not include your final results.
For full details, please visit the Examination Schools website.

If you haven't yet completed your course you can also request copies of your on-course transcript from the Examination Schools. On-course transcripts can be ordered at a cost of £5 each online by credit/debit card at the University Online Shop, or by post with payment by cheque by downloading the Postal Order Form from the University website.
If you have any questions about transcripts, please email transcripts@admin.ox.ac.uk.
